We’re growing our team and looking for a driven, compassionate, and detail-oriented professional to join About Staffing as a Recruitment Specialist, Temporary Division (Recruiter).

Duties and Responsibilities:
Candidate Recruitment & Temporary Placement:
- Conduct interviews, post job advertisements, review resumes, and match candidates to available positions.
- Ensure accurate candidate testing, placement, and onboarding processes.
Reference & Compliance Checks:
- Conduct thorough reference checks and ensure all required compliance checks are completed.
Problem Solving & Coordination:
- Coordinate interviews, negotiate buyouts, and resolve placement challenges efficiently.
Client Management:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, proactive check-ins, meetings, and thoughtful follow-up. Take the time to understand client needs, provide timely updates, address concerns, and ensure clients feel supported throughout the recruitment process, including proactively presenting replacement candidates when needed.
Database & Administrative Accuracy:
- Maintain and update internal databases with job orders, postings, and placement details.
Health & Safety:
- Participate in the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC).
- Oversee health and safety discussions with candidates and address any safety concerns.
Team Collaboration & Market Insights:
- Work with internal teams to strategize placements and educate clients on industry trends.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Strong knowledge of Alberta Human Rights and Labour Standards.
- Consistent professional image with a reliable track record of attendance and punctuality.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in administration.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruitment, human resources, or a relevant role.
- Prior experience in an agency environment is a huge asset.
- Intermediate computer proficiency; experience with databases is considered an asset.
Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, combined with strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
- Detail-oriented with superior organizational, planning, and time-management capabilities.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, including the ability to take initiative and negotiate effectively.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and work well under pressure.
- Maintains strict confidentiality regarding business operations, candidates, and client information.
Base Salary:
- Salary based on experience and qualifications

Additional Notes:
- This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
