About Staffing Ltd. has included a Privacy Policy to inform you of our privacy practices and the terms and conditions, for which data that we may collect from you on our websites will be used, shared and otherwise treated. All our policies and procedures adhere to Alberta Privacy Standards (Personal Information Protection Act).

About Staffing Ltd. is committed to user privacy in all of our services. This policy outlines our personal information handling practices. If you give us personal information, we will treat it according to this policy. We strive to have consistent privacy practices for all of your personal information, regardless of the medium used to collect the information.

When you visit the About Staffing website, you have the option to place an order online, register online, submit an online form, or submit a resume via email, all of which provide certain personally identifiable information about yourself or your company. This information is kept confidential AT ALL TIMES.

All information received by potential candidates is viewed only by relevant staff, and then kept in locked file cabinets and/or on secure servers. The information is never given out without the explicit consent of the candidate or client. All electronic data is secure and password-protected.

All personal information entered through our online registration form is collected within a secure page, such that it is encrypted while being transferred to a password protected About Staffing server equipped with an enterprise firewall. If you provide personal information to us via unencrypted e-mail, you should be aware of the inherent risks of interception over which we have no control.

When you use the services of About Staffing to assist you in obtaining employment, you are required to provide certain personally identifiable information about yourself. This information is kept confidential AT ALL TIMES.

Personal information is any factual or subjective information, recorded or not, about an identifiable individual. It includes:

age, name, weight, height;
medical records;
ID numbers, income, ethnic origin, or blood type;
opinions, evaluations, comments, social status, or disciplinary action; and, employee files, credit records, loan records, existence of a dispute between a consumer and a merchant, intentions (for example, to acquire goods or services, or change jobs).

Personal information does not include your job title, telephone number, address, anything that might appear on your business card, or can be found through publicly available information such as social media pages, or by doing an online search.

Personal information is never given out without the explicit consent of the candidate.

About Staffing will only use your personal information in the ways specified when it was collected, which is for employment purposes. This information will be used strictly for the purpose of assisting you in finding a suitable employment opportunity and will only be disclosed: (1) to About Staffing’s clients, when the client may provide you with suitable employment; and (2) To the extent necessary, About Staffing’s representatives (including affiliates, partners, contractors), who assist About Staffing in providing you with full staffing services.

We will not subsequently change the way in which we use your personal information, unless you consent to the new usage. About Staffing will not share your personal information with third parties (i.e., clients) unless you have granted us permission to do so.

About Staffing will not retain your personal information longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it is collected. All personal information will be retained for as long as you are using the placement services of About Staffing. In the event that you wish to withdraw your consent to the use, disclosure and retention of your personal information, it is your responsibility to inform About Staffing in writing, at which time you will be informed whether and how such withdrawal will affect the services being provided to you.

This does not apply to active temporary candidates who are employees of About Staffing. All About Staffing employee files must be kept for a period of seven years following the last day of employment with About Staffing.

As a candidate, you may update or otherwise make changes to your personal information at any time, simply by contacting About Staffing.
