Direct Hire Placements
How does contingency-based billing work?
We do not charge you for interviewing our direct hire candidates. We only invoice you or your affiliates if you hire one of our candidates. You are then charged our fees after our services have been rendered.
How long does it take to find a Direct Hire candidate?
It can take anywhere from 21 to 40 days to find the right fit for your needs. We first review our existing candidates in our pool, contact them directly and begin the interview process. At the same time we will post the job opportunity on our website driving more candidates to submit their resume to apply for that particular posting.
How does About Staffing have so many candidates?
About Staffing markets itself prominently through all mediums and have done so successfully for over 11 years. Therefore, we are the agency of choice and top of mind for many job seekers. Also, we are
trend realizers and know of changes happening in the labour force both short and long term.
Temporary Placements
How do the fees work for Temporary Placements?
Hourly rates include cost of payroll, candidate wages, vacation & statutory holiday pay, Employment Insurance, CPP, Worker’s Compensation, advertising and other administrative costs that may be incurred. Rates are based on the candidates hourly pay in accordance with experience as well as the above costs. There often may be a pay range for the position because of various job duties needed and candidates at different experience levels.
Why do you confirm temp candidates the day before?
Our temporary candidates generally only work temp and therefore work on a day-to-day basis. A candidate available a week ago will more than likely not be available this week. It is most efficient to confirm a candidate the day before the assignment.
Why do I have to sign an Order Confirmation every time I place an order?
We need to make sure that you agree to the fees and terms set out in the order before we place a candidate at your business. The job posting information is also on the order and we need to ensure that About Staffing and your company are on the same track.
